This is the bar I picked up when visiting @dandelionchocolate delightful cafe last weekend. I was intrigued by the printed tasting notes of cherries, fresh milk and black tea.
In the nose you get the earthy black tea quick and strong (I’m SO on board already!), along with a little nuttiness.
The taste opens slowly, brimming with those earthy black tea flavors, then with fresh creamy milk poured into the tea.
Soft tannins dance with hints of cherries, giving an earthy and sophisticated finish to this bar.
Also, can we take a minute to appreciate their packaging? If you’ve ever unwrapped a Dandelion bar you know what I mean: the paper is thick and heavy, almost fabric-y, with those lovely golden designs. The gold foil underneath is a hefty weight too. It adds to the luxury the experience. I appreciate when chocolate makers prioritize other details in addition to chocolate quality!
