Savoring this Anamalai India 70% dark by the now defunct @solsticechocolate
It’s bittersweet (pun intended??) to unwrap and nibble this bar, knowing there’ll never be another. Let us honor the beautiful and fleeting Solstice.
It was at their booth at NW Chocolate Festival (either 2018 or 2019) that I first tasted India beans and I was so impressed!
Nose: earthy dried red fruit, roasted spices.
Tamarind & passion fruit feature strongly in the taste. Hints of bitter spices peek up towards the end but soon melt into smooth fruitiness.
I’ll be savoring this bar for as long as I can. ❤️🩹
