Bolivia and Uganda (both 60%) by Intrigue Chocolate Co

I love tasting different origins from the same maker back-to-back, it highlights those unique terroir notes as well as helps me to gauge the chocolate maker’s style by noticing similarities between the bars.

Here we have Bolivia and Uganda (both 60%) from @intrigue_chocolate_co

Bolivia 60%
The Nose is strong and distinctive, reminiscent of dried fruits and brown sugar; it hints at balsamic fruitiness notes on the package. The taste opens gradually, straightforwardly aligned with the smell, with teasing hints of blueberries. I also get cashew nutty/oaty notes. This is unlike any wild Bolivia bar I’ve ever had before.

Uganda (Kisinga) 60%
The Nose is fudgy with hints of red fruits.
BAM! Aggressive fruitiness right out of the gate with a nice tart pucker of happy citrus. This chocolate makes your mouth water right away! It drops off into a subdued finish of chocolatiness and nutty hints.
