I don’t often see @chocolatchapon bars in other stores so I had to grab this one from Caputos. I was really tempted to get the Bolivie Beni, since I’ve had that bar before and LOVED it. But this shop was about trying something new!

This Pérou Gran Native 74% starts off with an immediate creamy mouthfeel with a short hit of malt. This mellows into vague memories of raisins which then transforms into a slight pleasant sourness, only perceptible by a mild dryness in the mouth. However, the finish leaves the mouth watering and wanting another piece.

Consistent with my experiences with other French chocolate makers, the flavor notes are subtle and blend together extremely well, without any one flavor dominating over another.
