COMPARISON: Wampusirpi Honduras Dark Chocolate between Twenty-Four Blackbirds and Parliament Chocolate

Once I got to photographing my latest haul of bars from SF @craftchocolateexperience I realized that I inadvertently bought 2 bars of the same unique origin without realizing it, both from makers who feature birds in their names/branding! Both makers are also based in Southern California!

Let’s compare these Wampusirpi Honduras chocolate bars between @twentyfourblackbirds and @parliament_chocolate !

There is a bit (5%) of darkness difference between them, but I think it’s still an apt comparison.

Twenty Four Blackbirds’ bar has earthiness stronger in the nose and in the front of the palate, but also gives fruity, coffee and tobacco notes on the finish instead of the lingering vegetal notes in Parliament’s. The latter also has stronger notes of roasted nuts, to my palate, and a lighter and longer finish.

Have you tasted these bars? What did you notice?
