Chocolate Bookshelf Feature! I’m nibbling down to the end of this sumptuous Vanilla Smoke bar from @crowandmosschocolate (as you can see it’s nearly gone!).

I LOVE smokey flavors so snagging this bar was a no-brainier. The chocolate is smooth and mild, and a bit sweeter than I would have expected for 69% dark. The combination of rich floral vanilla is balanced by a prominent savory smokiness from hickory smoke. There’s even some small salty hints that pop up near the finish. Oooh, yes!

Interesting sidebar: I’m also diving into the fascinating and indulgent (and don’t forget expensive! 😵💫💰) world of perfume, and lately I’ve been digging a scent called Encens Suave by Matiere Premiere. It’s a warm amber smokey vanilla fragrance that seems like a perfect twin for this chocolate bar! The vanilla notes in the perfume are not cheap or cloying, and are balanced perfectly by a subtle warm smokiness and top notes of coffee.
