Beef? With chocolate? Yes. And I mean YES!

This weekend is a long holiday weekend for July 4th, and in the US we tend to eat a lot of grilled and barbecued meat this weekend, especially beef! So it seemed a great moment to highlight this unique and incredible bar from Naive.
Dried aged Black Angus beef is incorporated into the chocolate. While this may sound strange or even shocking, chocolate’s depth of flavor lends itself well to savory foods too (think molé!), and the meaty smokey notes in this bar plumb a depth of flavor with chocolate that is rarely explored!

The nose is smokey & savory.
The smokey tang of BBQ hits as soon as the chocolate starts melting. Zounds! What a whallop of flavor and whiplash for the brain! The sprinkle of dried lingonberries tops the flavor journey like a little jeweled tiara. It all blends together, swirling, creamy, rich, smokey, sweet, meaty, savory.
This bar is a stroke of genius. Perfect dessert after a BBQ!
