Feijoa in Milk Chocolate (34%) by @bennettschocolates
A really special bar and a new favorite! Feijoa is a small green fruit native to— and common in- New Zealand. I’ve never tasted it before but as soon as I opened the package I knew the strong smell must have been the Feijoa! I would describe the flavor as a mix of eucalyptus and pineapple, with hints of spearmint thrown in. It’s also described as having hints of guava. It’s so unique and distinctive, and pairs well with the mild milk chocolate.
This is the most interesting fruit inclusion bar I’ve ever had; I love it! I wish I had an easy way to stock up on these- they only ship to NZ. Let me know if you find a US source, or if you know of any other chocolate makers using this unique fruit!
