A darker, juicier version of my favorite single-origin chocolate? YES PLS.
Of the many Amazonian river systems that @luisaabram@wild.cacau sources cacao from, the Juruá River is arguably the most special. The distinctly floral chocolate was featured in the recent book Wild Cacao, and is usually enjoyed in its 70% dark form.
LO- I was able to pick up an 81% dark version of the same chocolate, which is usually only sold in Brazil.
It’s the most floral chocolate I’ve ever tasted- like it’s made with perfume- a whirlwind of jasmine and neroli sweeping you away! As the taste opens there’s a bit more acidity in the form of juiciness and lychee notes. Absolutely zero bitterness- it leaves you with a creamy floral essence on the finish. A truly remarkable bar.
