Lapsang Souchong Pearls 69% DR by @karunachoc (yes, this was THE one I had my eye on at NW Chocolate Festival- I grabbed one before they sold out in just a few hours!)
Nose: slightly smokey (not as much as you’d think), herbal/vegetal in a sweet & floral way.
The taste begins to open slowly and there’s an autumnal vegetal flavor that actually reminds me of pumpkin or butternut squash.
The tea intensifies and harmonizes with strong earthy flavors of the Duarte beans. The smokiness crescendos on the finish- this bar is an intense ride through lovely herbal flavors- a great bar to enjoy in the Fall!
I’m thinking I should try this bar WITH some tea- what would you recommend?
