Looks like I’m not the only one who couldn’t wait to taste this bar from @nwchocolate Festival! Perfect timing for #tttt_p (pine)
Right away the nose is not just nutty but buttery too! There’s the expected soft snap from the extra fat in the nuts 💛
The taste brings a pleasant earthy light bitterness from the pine nuts, also adding a richness. The earthiness almost reminds me of mushrooms!
The greenery of the spruce sidles up at the end, its coolness overlapping perfectly with the warmth of the nuts. The spruce fades, leaving a warm buttery finish.
Öko-Caribe beans are a good choice for this inclusion, like an earthy forest floor foundation supporting the gifts of the evergreens. 🌲
I love Mike & Becky’s commitment to sustainability, especially in their packaging (can we ALL move to compostable cellophane?! 🙌). AND I love a cute factoid about local birbs too! 🐦⬛
