In honor of the flowers and fruits of #spring and #easter , I’m tasting this raspberry rose 55% bar from @amanochocolate .
I’ve had this bar a few times over the course of several years, and it always leaves me a little bit disappointed, wanting more.
Amano is highly regarded as a chocolate maker and I absolutely love many of their single origin bars. But as a huge lover of floral flavors, I can’t deny that the rose in this falls flat. (I’m the kind of person that buys Fentiman’s Rose Lemonade and pours extra rosewater into it).
The raspberry itself is at “medium” strength, and the base chocolate is very good.
I know some people are quite sensitive to floral flavors and can’t stand them being too strong, so this bar is a good one for them.
I’ve still got my bottle of rosewater in the pantry. 😆
