My last bar from this recent Caputo’s splurge: The special release of Wild Bolivian Beniano Cacao 75% crafted by @ritualchocolate in partnership with @caputosmarket . I loved their past partnership with Luisa Abram for the Brazil Wild Jurura Bar (in its distinctive red packaging) so I was excited to see this new collaboration!

The lovely iconic yellow and black packaging, complete with map and insert card, further luxuriate the experience.

Upon tasting there are mild vegetal notes at the beginning that quickly give way to a sharp but agreeable sourness. Over time it mellows into a tart raspberry flavor, with a dry finish.

I love that this bar helps to celebrate and preserve Bolivia’s wild heirloom cacao. I think about how many hours of searching and laborious harvesting this bar required to come about. Definitely something worth savoring!
