The chocolate has great shine. Smelling the perfume of the chocolate from the package is a delight- fruity hints of banana, the earthiness of fermenting leaves, and hints of winey raisins. The taste follows the nose exactly (woody, fermented banana) with the addition of fresh cream and coffee opening up in the middle and lingering strong on the finish. It’s smooth and mild overall with very little acidity or astringency. I wish I had a way to easily try more from this maker!
