Spring’s warmth feels like a great time for these tropical nuggets from @luisaabram – cupuaçu dragees covered in dark chocolate! (Also perfect for this week’s #tttt_fruit)
Did you know that cupuaçu fruit is a cousin to chocolate? Its scientific name is Theobroma grandiflorum (sound familiar?). Its taste is like an extra floral, slightly funky pear-pineapple! 🍐🍍🍫
Since Luisa Abram’s cacao beans are sourced from Brazil, these dragees are a total taste of the Amazon. The chocolate coating isn’t too thick and the fruit has a gentle chewiness. I love the unique flavor of these!
